Tonight – Sept. 8, 2018 – will be the second game of the football season at The Swamp for the University of Florida Gators. Here’s a scene I photographed while at our Sept. 1 opening game. It is a tribute held to the late rocker Tom Petty (a UF favorite), where fans turned on their cell phones’ flashlights and waved as his song “I Won’t Back Down” played throughout the stadium. The tribute was first done in October 2017 just after he passed. I hope all goes well tonight as well for my Gators.
