Here is my oldest University of Florida memento. I got this on campus in 1978 and have used it as a desk receptacle for several decades – rather than have it crack or discolor through use as it was intended. It’s much nicer to hold classic No. 2 pencils, Gators pencils and my somewhat rare Montblanc letter opener. Today (Saturday, Sept. 2) is the opening day of the 2017 football season and my Gators play Meatchicken (or the University of Michigan for you Wolverine fans).
