Here comes another “mega-home!” The neighborhoods along the Gulf of Mexico and related inland waterways of Naples, Fla., have become a hive of mega-homes – structures so large, intricate and luxurious as to each being pretty much a five-start resort. However, some “small” homes remain, but their number dwindles even as hurricanes strike the region. Here’s a shot from The Moorings, one of the area’s tonier neighborhoods. When the big equipment is parked out front, it’s arrivederci (goodbye!) old house and erano qui (we’re here!) for the latest mega-home. I got this shot while driving in neighborhoods in Old Naples on Nov. 12, 2022.
