Unfortunately, U.S. flags have been at half-staff too many times in recent months. The latest was to remember the fallen on Memorial Day (May 30, 2022) and prior to that to honor those victims of the school massacre in Uvalde, Texas. Sometimes, folks don’t remember to follow the orders of the U.S. President regarding the flag, but it’s sad to note how many times flags are not returned to their full position after an order to go to half-staff. I got this shot of a flag that should be flying high in the community next to my neighborhood here in Naples, Fla., on June 5, 2022.
