On Veterans Day 2021, a little wind could have helped the flags

In a fitting tribute to Veterans Day in the U.S. today (Nov. 11, 2021), our local government offices were closed, as were the public library branches. I wish there had been a little more wind, so that the U.S. flag and POW/MIA flag could present well against the late-afternoon sky, but it wasn’t to be. Here’s the Headquarters branch of the Collier County Public Library and its flagpole with the U.S. and POW/MIA flags. I got the shot as I drove home from work here in Naples, Fla.
