Our neighborhood’s flag was flying at half-staff yesterday, Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 … which was the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States that cost the lives of nearly 3,000 in four assaults by Arab terrorists using hijacked commercial airliners. All U.S. flags should have flown at half-staff (or half-mast, if they were on a vessel), but I saw too many neighborhood flags not being at the proper, respectful height. I got the shot while running an errant from hour home here in Naples, Fla. (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
