Tim Dorsey’s newest novel shows how Amazon has revolutionized, spoiled shopping, buying of books

Here’s how Amazon has both revolutionized and spoiled the buying of books: I just received both my Kindle and hardback copies of novelist Tim Dorsey’s latest offering called “Tropic of Stupid” on the day of its national release – Jan. 26, 2021. The online retailer revolutionized my buying these books by having them delivered (electronically to my Kindle at 12:01 a.m. on Jan. 26 and the hardback dropping on my doorstep 15 hours later). Amazon spoiled the book-buying experience since it allowed me to order them months ago and then kinda forgot that Tuesdays are new book release day. Sigh. I always like shopping for book in a real store instead of culling though Amazon’s search feature for my Kindles. I got this shot of Dorsey’s latest novel on Jan. 26 at our home here in Naples, Fla.
