I guess that it will always be an endless parade of errors in closed captioning as we move forward. It has to be voice recognition, because I just don’t want to believe that so many humans are just so stupid! Here’s my latest example of the stupidity of an error in closed captioning: A TV documentary tells about facts surrounding flying over the “north poll.” Hmmm. Where’s that? A call center in New England? Idiots. Just in case … it should be the North Pole. I got this shot off a paused moment on our DVR here in Naples, Fla., on April 24, 2020.
