My movie suggestion today is … to watch “L.A. Confidential.” Actually, I should write “re-watch” since I know you’ve seen it. Here is one of the most powerful films I have ever seen. “L.A. Confidential” is a hammer-blow of a movie that has not one, but five Oscar-worthy performances – only Kim Basinger won in the acting category for the flick. The cast is simply outstanding and “L.A. Confidential” benefits most from a director who spent years developing it for the screen from a novel spanning more than a decade. Whew! Here’s the definition of noir in cinema and a great period piece to boot. Quick! Find “L.A. Confidential” and watch it. You won’t be disappointed.
