My movie suggestion today is … to watch Steve Martin as “Father of the Bride.” Here’s one of Hollywood’s remakes (the idiots call them “reboots” today) that is worth watching. “Father of the Bride” could have failed on so many levels as them the perfect family (the way they dress; the way there’s no stress in their lives; and any conflict is treated as a capital offense). However, the cast with one exception is exceptional and “Father of the Bride” is endearing, funny and worth watching many times. Especially today, Sept. 28, 2019.
