When the Florida Panthers win, Stanley the mascot skates the big flag on the ice. And so it was on the night of Dec. 29, 2018, as our Panthers scored two late goals to beat the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1. The spots on the ice? Those are plastic rats that fans throw in tribute to the team. You can also see big scratches in the “glass” (actually, clear plastic). We had great seats at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla., on this night.
