My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “The Cannonball Run.” Here’s a Burt Reynolds fun flick that you can just sit back and enjoy – no worries about seeing any acting or award-winning emotion. “The Cannonball Run” is nothing but pure eye candy – from up-and-coming stars (back then) to established stars (back then) to screen legends such as members of the iconic Rat Pack. Oh, yes, “The Cannonball Run” is a movie about a car race across the United States. But don’t look for a travelogue … “The Cannonball Run” is about the actors and the cars. “The Cannonball Run” is simply fun to watch … and that’s always high praise for a film!
