Retro Disney favorite photos: Flag-lowering ceremony from ’14 and Memorial Day 2020

Today is Memorial Day 2020 and I’m reprising a photo we took at Walt Disney World to honor the fallen on this special day. I believe the photo captures the spirit of Memorial Day and this holiday has its origin in “Decoration Day.” So, Memorial Day has become our national day of honoring those who gave their lives in our armed services. So, today for Memorial Day of 2020, please and always remember the sacrifices made by so many for freedoms you continue to enjoy today! I got this shot as we walked to Tony’s Town Square Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in October 2014 and saw the daily 5 p.m. flag lowering ceremony.
