Try this flick … “Beach Party.” Well, we went “Back to the Beach” yesterday in an aptly named film for this coronavirus time, so let’s today go back to the original: “Beach Party” with Frankie and Annette and the gang. Of course, I’m writing about Avalon and Funicello and the movie that essentially defined the careers of both entertainers (although Annette got a boost from being a Disney “Mouseketeer,” too). “Beach Party” is actually a well-acted film with headliners Bob Cummings and Dorothy Malone being the “adults” in the midst of teenagers drinking, dancing and surfing at the beach. Yes, back then, teenagers could drink beer at a bar (and eat pie – watch the film for context). So, don’t be a gremmie or a hodad, watch “Beach Party” … it’ll leave you with a smile.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
