Retro Disney favorite photos: ‘May the Force be with you!’ on May 4, 2020

It was characters galore for Debbie and Allison at Walt Disney World for Star Wars Weekend. Debbie got this shot on May 16, 2015, of Chewbacca and an Ewok with a young guest at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Here’s my final posting of a series of photos from the newest Star Wars ride at Walt Disney World. My co-worker Susan H. and her family experienced it on Feb. 1, 2020, and this is yet another shot from their first ride on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Here’s one photo I took of stormtroopers at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and features the hottest new ride: Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. I got this shot on Sept. 7, 2019.

Today’s re-post is in honor of that most-special film franchise (and more) called … “Star Wars.” It has become almost as much Disney as Mickey Mouse! And so, yes, “May the Force be With You!” today, May 4, 2020. In the computer world, #MayThe4th” is the anniversary date to celebrate. Here’s a photo from 2019, and a few other images. Here is the original caption of the big photo at top: “It was time to ‘jump to Light speed’ on the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run attraction. I was one of the two “engineers” on the flight and snapped this shot during our “mission.” The attraction is the main part today of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and I photographed this moment on the morning of Sept. 8, 2019. We were on a weekend visit to Walt Disney World when I got the shot.” (Remember: Click on the image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
