Retro Disney favorite photos: Both ‘Streets’ and ‘Mulch, Sweat & Shears’ long gone

As we won’t be back at Walt Disney World for some time – between the coronavirus alert and the fact that our annual passes expired and we haven’t renewed – I’ve been posting some of my “favorites” from our photos taken at WDW over the years. Today’s re-post is from October 2015 and shows two now-defunct sights – the Streets of America area and a live band that performed there. The area was changed to accommodate the now-open Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Here’s the original caption: “Check it out before it’s gone: the Streets of America area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios will disappear as that area will get a big dose of “Star Wars.” Allison got this shot of the “Mulch, Sweat & Shears – Bandscaping” troupe on Oct. 1, 2015, during a day trip to the annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World. Although the “Streets” will stay through this final Christmas season of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, yesterday (Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015) was the last performance by ‘Mulch, Sweat & Shears.’” Click here for the original post … (Remember: Click on the image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
