Try this flick … ‘Silverado’ is simply a great, classic western

Try this flick …Silverado.” I’m not a fan of westerns in film or on TV (heresy for an American over the age of 60), but there are a few that are great. “Silverado” is one of those and it is my third-favorite western and is a total classic: The good guys are great; the bad guys are evil; and it all plays out with the good guys winning in the end. No, anti-hero stuff for “Silverado.” This is the story of three men whose lives come together as they head to a town named “Silverado” and what happens when they arrive. It’s the classic western tale, but absolutely and completely well-told. So, it’s easy to find … get out there and watch “Silverado.”

So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog. Below is the link back to my review, which I just expanded.

  1. This is one of Leon’s and my favorite movies. We had it on VHS and must have watched it at least ten times. Unfortunately our combo DVD/VHS player doesn’t eject the VHS any more so we can’t watch it now. It has all of my favorite actors of the time in it, so I was in heaven watching it. I called them “my babies” because I was so fond of them. This movie is a lot of fun for a western.;
