Here’s the latest in my “Way, Way Back” series of photographs. I took this photo of golfing great Jack Nicklaus in early 1978 at either the Jackie Gleason-Inverarry Classic in late February or the Doral-Eastern Open from early March. The slide’s processing date is in March, but it could have been either tournament. In any case, Nicklaus, nicknamed “The Golden Bear,” is my favorite golfer of all time and I enjoyed taking his photo many times at these tournaments. I have purchased a slide converter and posting these “Way, Way Back” images and this is a scan from a 35mm Ektachrome slide taken with my Nikon F1 camera.
