My movie suggestion today is … to watch “Cheaper by the Dozen 2.” Here’s a movie that could have wallowed in the treacle of stereotype and being a “family film.” However, like the original, “Cheaper by the Dozen 2” rises above the stereotypes that it has to explore, but, also like the original, it manages to do it with class and just a little verve. “Cheaper by the Dozen 2” is about Steve Martin’s and Bonnie Hunt’s huge family and in this one they’re up against Martin’s longtime nemesis, a man with a big family of his own (and a young trophy wife). It isn’t a great film, but “Cheaper by the Dozen 2” grades out as “enduring” and that’s enough for me. So, find it and watch “Cheaper by the Dozen 2.”
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog. Below is the link back to the original review.
