Hey, it’s time to get U.S. flags back to full height of the flagpole

Look closely: The U.S. flag in front of the Collier County Public Library – Headquarters branch is flying correctly on Jan. 2, 2018. As for the one in the foreground at the North Collier Government Center across the parking lot, it’s still at half staff. Some raised the flags too soon from half staff (they were under presidential order to be that way through sundown on Dec. 30) and now some have not raised them back. Too bad. Everyone should have proper respect for flag etiquette. Click here to learn the proper flag etiquette and get notices about when flags are to be flown at half staff … (Remember: Click on the image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
