D.C. visit 2018: A glorious evening for U.S. Marine Corps Sunset Parade

We had the privilege to see the U.S. Marine Corps Sunset Parade on Aug. 14, 2018. It was the last Sunset Parade of the year and it was a special event to witness. The parades are held each summer in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Here is the band looking back across the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to the United States Capitol. It is easy to see the Washington Monument and closest and more difficult to spot is the national World War II Memorial.
