Here’s a close-up of the staples holding the incision together on my recently replaced left knee. In a week, the staples come out! Although this looks very … well, medical, everything is progressing great! Don't worry ... the dark spots look bad, but it is the lighting that causes them to be darker than they are and there's no infection or any issue with the spot of surgery. I got this shot Nov. 24, 2017, after a bandage was removed by a home health-care nurse. The surgery was on Nov. 14 and is the second knee-replacement surgery I’ve had this year – the first was Sept. 19 here in our hometown of Naples, Fla.
