Today’s movie suggestion: Mythology and special effects

Click here to read my movie suggestion for today and it is … a look at the mythology films’ special effects from Ray Harryhausen to CGI. It is framed in looking at “Clash of the Titans” and its remake as well as “Jason and the Argonauts” (remember the skeleton scene?). Back in the day it wasn’t easy to get what looks now like a cheesy special effect, but Harryhausen was (and continues to be) the acknowledged master. Jump ahead and you’ll find that computers do the heavy lifting today. So, here’s my take on mythology and special effects …
