image Sigh … fishing trawler on Manatee River not at anchor

I know this isn’t the most interesting of photos. However, there’s a big back story to it. What you don’t see is key: there is no commercial fishing vessel at anchor in the sliver of water visible in this photograph. For at least the past 10 years, we have seen a fishing trawler at anchor in the Manatee River that Interstate 75 bridges. We always wondered if it ever moved, then last November as we headed to Walt Disney World it wasn’t there. OMG! On Feb. 4, 2017, we were headed back to Walt Disney World for a weekend and noticed that the boat was missing again. We wonder if we will ever see it again.
