With the Super Bowl coming this evening, click here to read today’s movie suggestion and it is … a 1970s look at fighting terrorism – and the story line has not suffered much in the nearly 40 years since the release of “Black Sunday.” It is an excellent action-espionage film in which terrorists target the Super Bowl. It has solid performances from Bruce Dern (as the bad guy American terrorist helped by the Black September movement) and a post-“Jaws” Robert Shaw. Marthe Keller is great, too, as the cold-blooded terrorist killer “Dahlia Ilyad.” Check out “Black Sunday” … it runs every once every so often on cable and it’s easy to find on DVD.
So, I’m doing a daily recommendation of a movie … and they’re all movies that I’ve reviewed on this blog. Below is the link back to the original review.
