Click here to read today’s movie suggestion and it is … one of the all-time iconic crime films: “The French Connection.” The film gave title to a smuggler’s route and is remembered even today. Actually, it’s a tremendous film (it won five Oscars and was nominated for three more) and “The French Connection” does it the right way – it takes its time; it has wonder direction; it has outstanding work by its actors; and it doesn’t get bogged down by action (although its car chase sequence remains a landmark in film stunts to this day). Check out “The French Connection” if you haven’t in a while. “The French Connection” is simply top shelf.
