image A look back: Another of a guardian lion in Beijing

Here is another shot I got of one of the ubiquitous “guardian lions” at the Summer Palace at Beijing in China during our visit in 2007. You can find these guardian lions at the entrances to buildings and residences across Asia. According to Wiki: In English and several Western languages, the guardian lions are often referred in a multitude of name such as: “Fu Dogs," “Foo Dogs," “Fu Lions," “Fo Lions" and “Lion Dogs."
