Through a sign post, something grows (bigger and bigger)

I have been waiting to take a photo of a bush to grow larger up through the post for this speed limit sign in our Naples, Fla., neighborhood and decided it was big enough on Sept. 4, 2016, to stop and get a shot with my iPhone. The back side shot isn’t great because of the position of the sun, but it does show how the plant grew up through the ventilated post (without the vent holes, it wouldn’t have made it, I believe).
