While picking up the yard debris from a storm on the morning of Jan. 17, 2016, I noticed I have accidentally grown a tomato at our home in Naples, Fla. Singular. I write “accidentally” because I occasionally buy one of the “can’t miss” tomato plants at Home Depot (the place where all the garden plants plead “not me, not me” when I walk past) and never manage to grow a single one. I left this one behind a shrub and forgot about it. However, this is a raging success in horticulture compared to my other efforts.
